    Job Description

    To assist the Business Finance team with the smooth administration of clients' portfolios, particularly in terms of the preparation and sourcing of information for clients' applications while being sales focused.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    • Customer relationship management
    • Administration of client portfolios
    • Financial assessment and analysis
    • Preparation of credit applications and sourcing information
    • Ensuring the smooth running of the accounts
    • Being sales focused with the ability to cross sell and upsell
    • Dedicated support and back up to the Account Executive

    DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

    • Superior customer service and sales support to the Account Executive
    • Administration of client's portfolios, sending emails, applying for Bank, K.I. Reports and Trade References, filing, ensuring FICA compliance of new clients and other admin related duties
    • Assessment and spreading of financial statements and management accounts together with cash flow and budget projections, as well as ability to comment on these financials
    • Preparation of all applications to be sent to the Credit Department for approval and sourcing all relevant information from clients in this regard both for existing and prospective clients
    • Sourcing and assessing information from clients to ensure that all terms and conditions of sanction are adhered to and that necessary periodic information is received and collated timeously
    • Liaising with the Credit and Operations Departments to ensure the smooth running of the clients' accounts with regards to risk, operation and administrative issues
    • Drawing up security documentation for signature
    • General office duties as delegated from time to time, answering of client telephone calls and assisting where possible (being proactive at all times) and liaising closely with the managers of the unit
    • Be alert to the important nature and sensitivity of the information handled on a daily basis as well as assisting with, inter alia, all Large Exposure Reports, Problem Accounts, High Care Reports, Reviews, and Client Interactions
    • Be prepared to stand in for the Account Executive when they are off work or out on client visits or not in the office for any other reason
    • Present any applications and/or requests to the relevant credit mandate
    • Supporting all service and sales initiatives and keeping the customer top of mind at all times.
    • Co-ordinating Field Surveys

    SKILLS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

    • Ambitious with the willingness to grow into an Account Executive
    • Matric/GR12 coupled with a Commercial Degree is preferable
    • A high level of numeracy and accuracy
    • Full computer literacy, particularly in Word and Excel
    • Experience in marketing or sales of asset, trade and debtor-based finance will be advantageous, particularly if from a banking environment
    • Good understanding of security documentation is advantageous
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
    • Able to work under pressure in a team and/or in an individual capacity
    • Ability to work independently, use own initiative and provide effective and efficient client service
    • Good organisational skills
    • Highly motivated with very strong inter-personal skills
    • Communication skills are vital and the ability to work with people is very important
    • Own vehicle and driver's licence is essential, as the position requires periodic travelling to clients

    Market related Cost to Company, based on qualification and experience.
