    Key Outputs:

    • Create innovative and out-of-the-box planning and designing of Leisure Group itineraries (incentive-specific experiences are advantageous)
    • Have a good understanding of specific requirements for Groups itineraries, including general groups policies
    • Manage the reservations process, including qualifying the requirements of the group to ensure we can meet their needs
    • E nsure lead times for responses are met according to standard operating practices
    • Handle bookings from quote to finalizing, including invoicing and travel documents
    • Proactively sell products and services to ensure the best possible itinerary for guests
    • Maintain constant, consistent interaction and clear communication with colleagues, agents, guests, and suppliers
    • Uphold the values of &Beyond: Care of the people, Care of land, and Care of wildlife
    • May be required to travel with a group or undertake site inspections with agents/guests from time to time

    Knowledge Required:

    • Deliver excellent service to agents and guests
    • Have in-depth knowledge of Tourplan or a similar booking system
    • Have geographical, logistical, and product knowledge of South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, and Kenya
    • Additionally, experience in Namibia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Mozambique is advantageous
    • Be willing to learn and demonstrate an aptitude for new skills

    Skills Required:

    • Excellent communication skills and command of the English language (spoken and written)
    • Effective time and desk management, including working in an orderly focused manner
    • Ability to work under pressure and show initiative
    • Understanding of the travel industry and preferably tour operating specifically
    • Attention to detail
    • Exceptional negotiation skills
    • Ability to elaborate written explanations or descriptions
    • Customer-focused attitude
    • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Word and Excel
    • Calm and professional manner when servicing agents and guests
    • Independent, curious, and proactive nature

    Experience Required:

    • Minimum 3 years of touring groups-specific experience

    The successful candidate will possess an enquiring mind, be methodical, pay attention to detail, be creative, show perseverance and patience, ability to work under pressure, ability to accept routine and mundane tasks, high energy level, flexibility, ability to overcome obstacles, persistency with tasks, decisiveness, and adaptability.
