    General Manager: Human Capital
    JOB PURPOSE
    Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the programme and operations of the Human Resources of the entire Great North Transport (GNT)
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Collaborates with executive leadership to define the entity's long-term mission and goals; identify ways to support this mission through talent management.
    • Identify key performance indicators for the entity's human resource and talent management functions; assesses the entity's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics
    • Researches, develops and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programmes.
    • Provide guidance and leadership to the human resources management team; assist with resolution of resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, risks and/or issues.
    • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
    • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
    • Draft and implement the organisation's staffing budget, and the budget for human resource department.
    • Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE &
    • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification supplemented by post-graduate qualification in human Resources.
    • Ten (10) years' experience in human capital/resources management with five (5~) years at management level.
    • Solid experience in working in a unionised environment
    • Proficiency in Ms Office and HRIS
    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
    • Leadership and People Management Skills
    • Decisiveness or showing the ability to make accurate decisions quickly.
    • Demonstrate integrity and be reliable.
    • Must have excellent communication, negotiations, presentation, and strong interpersonal skills
    • High degree of computer literacy in power point, excel, word and electronic means of communication.
    • Problem solving skills; analytical, cognitive, coaching and strategic thinking skills using best methods
    • Ability to identify and set priorities, plan and effectively allocate appropriate resources
    • Attention to details so that relevant issues are addressed and result in high quality outcomes.
    • High level of business insight and commercial acumen
    • Proven organisational development, design, and effectiveness skills
