**Job Description

  • The key activities of this role are to**:
  • Develop and safeguard long-term sustainable policies and practices for AAP
  • Add input for strategic thinking within AAP regarding rewards, incl. retention reward strategies. Note,overall strategy is driven by Group level
  • Benchmark policies and practices, by reflecting needs of AAP and Group; strive to be bestinclass and trendsetting with respect to rewards
  • Develop deep understanding of the local market for the development of policies and programmes
  • Collaborate with Group to ensure that reward is aligned with Group principles and policies, while recognising the nuances of AAP
  • Design, align, and implement attraction and retention models in a localised manner
  • Ensure, track, and foster competitiveness of remuneration and EVP
  • Ensure consistent HR policy review, including being the custodian of all HR policies (including but not limited to SA aspirations, Future of Work, retention)
  • Actively foster and support the development of a highperformance working culture
  • Partner with business and HR departments to coordinate delivery of wholistic, considered solutions
  • Challenge existing processes, programs and work in the light of efficiency and effectiveness in order to contribute to a highly efficient and streamlined employee rewards (and HR function accordingly

Qualifications:


  • Qualifications:
  • NQF 7 Bachelor's degree/BTech /Advanced Diploma
  • NQF 8 Postgraduate qualification advantageous
  • A qualification in rewards advantageous

Experience:


  • Previous experience in rewards essential

Technical Knowledge:


Operations:


  • Key value drivers across HR value chain and interdependence of key levers
  • Principles and elements of the Operating Model focussing on Work Management and its implications on the discipline
  • Project management fundamentals
  • New technologies and their impact on operational HR activities within scope of role
  • Business improvement tools and techniques

Commercial:

  • Commercial/business drivers in discipline, business performance variability and underlying causes that define subsequent actions
  • Basic financial metrics, cost and value management & budgeting to
