    Description
    Basic Education & Experience Requirements


    • The applicant must be experienced in telesales, receptionist and customer relations.
    • A thorough background in computers is essential, with knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • A proven track record of and commitment to excellence in customer care
    • Experience in the construction material supply industry will be beneficial
    • Excellent knowledge of the Port Elizabeth Construction Market
    • Understanding of broad range of quarry and construction materials
    Excellent spoken English, Afrikaans and Xhosa will be advantageous

    Purpose of the Job

    The individual will


    • Form an integral part of the sales team, which is comprised of a Sales Manage, and two sales persons.
    • Be required to deal with a variety of matters pertaining to the sales of Sand and Stone products, as well as other receptionist duties.
    o Telephone Answering

    o Taking of customers orders

    o Loading customer accounts onto a computer system

    o Assisting customers at the office, and ensuring that they are assisted promptly, and advised correctly.

    o Maintain contact with dealers and distributors

    o Work to maintain and build relationships with existing client base.

    o Handle customer complaints promptly

    o Maintain customer accounts and ensure prompt payment of outstanding invoices

    o Communicate customer needs and additional requirements with quarry managers

    o Provide recommendations to management for the development of products and the maximization of profits.

    o Various other admin duties


    • Valid driver's license and own transport.
