Wedding & Events Venue at a 4* Hotel in Muldersdrift is looking for a Wedding Sales Coordinator.

Manage the wedding & sales department.
The manager must be assertive while maintaining the diplomacy of a good negotiator and will be responsible for increasing the Hotel's revenues in the wedding business.
The position will work closely with other sales staff in the Department and manage the team to facilitate sales conversion.
Through our enquiries and wedding exhibition leads, it will focus heavily on prospecting business in all wedding market segments.

Requirements:

Must have five or more years of wedding sales and planning in a similar wedding establishment, and an Event Management certificate/diploma will be an advantage.
Must have strong negotiating skills and be comfortable asking for the business
Must be Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel Programs.
Must have experience with POS booking management systems, an asset
Must have proven knowledge and savvy with social media.
Must be skilled in dealing with department issues.
Must know how to market, capture and convert business and be knowledgeable of different wedding cultures and trends.
Must be highly detailed orientated and creative at upselling.
Must have a strong customer focus with the ability to build rapport and problemsolve independently
Must have verbal solid./ written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively.
Must be selfmotivated with proven time management and organisation skills.
Must have the ability to work in an open fast, paced environment and meet crucial deadlines.
Must have the ability to translate the bride's vision into reality.
Must have the ability to relate to all levels of stakeholders both in and outside the organisation.
Must have the ability to produce highquality data entry with close attention to detail.
Must exhibit a 'can do' attitude and passion for creating exceptional events.
Must be willing to work a flexible week/ weekend and hours to cover consultations, viewings/inspections.
Must have a valid driver's licence and own transport
