Our client, a hospital group who has provided health care services in Verulam/Kwa-Zulu Natal is looking to recruit a Professional Nurse/

Scrub Sister:
Theatre

This state-of-the-art private hospital facility offering modern theatres which are comprehensively equipped allowing most types of surgical procedures.

This patient focused, friendly hospital environment strives to provide a high standard of medical care, quality meals and superior service.


The main purpose of the job is to ensure that the theatre conforms to all medico-legal aspects relative to the health care industry and to ensure the highest quality of services are provided to all participating doctors, patients, and staff.

Ensure stock is correctly recorded, received and appropriately stored and ensure the smooth running of the nurse's station.
Communication of a professional level with doctors, patients, visitors, and general hospital staff is essential.


Requirements:


  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Theatre experience required


  • Post Basic Diploma

  • Operating Theatre Technique is a nonnegotiable requirement
  • Private hospital experience would be an added advantage
  • Proof of registration with the S.A.N.C. and proof of personal indemnity is required
  • Ability to maintain excellent standards and service levels
  • Customer service focus
  • Required to work flexible hours
  • Required to do after hours call work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (ability to speak and write English)
  • Mature personality with abilities to assist with patients in a courteous and polite manner
  • To be punctual and reliable
  • To be at all times neat and tidy in dress code
  • To be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
