- Prepare Accurate Estimates: Develop detailed and accurate estimates for clearing and forwarding services, including customs duties, freight costs, and other logistics-related expenses.
- Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work closely with sales teams to provide timely and competitive quotations for clients.
- Analyze Client Needs: Analyze client requirements and shipping needs to provide tailored solutions.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Rates: Stay current with industry rates, international shipping regulations, and customs tariffs.
- Work with Internal Departments: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Review and Update Estimates: Review and update estimates to reflect changes in market conditions or client requirements.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of all cost estimates and related documents.
- Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics: Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics as a subject (mandatory).
- Industry Experience: Minimum 7 years experience in the clearing and forwarding industry (multimodal).
- Analytical and Numerical Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with freight forwarding processes, customs regulations, and cost structures.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
