- Grade 12 and an additional business qualification would be a definitive advantage
- Experience + 3 to5 years first hand exposure to sales within the ICT space
- Knowledge of the Telecommunications and ICT market
- Drivers License
- The ability to negotiate with and sell to senior-level executives, management and staff within the assigned accounts.
- The personality and demeanour suited for building and maintaining lasting relationships.
- Self-confident, determined and self-motivated
- Strong communication skills covering both written and spoken English as well as presentation skills
- Strong computer application skills covering Microsoft Office products and other software applications
- A "can do" attitude and willingness to get involved in all areas of the organization that requires intervention to meet set sales targets and business objectives
- To be aggressively involved in hunting for new high value business opportunities within the allocated geographic region
- To maintain customer relationships once account has been acquired with a view to growing the service and revenue base
- To achieve set targets for new customer engagements (cold calling and securing sales pitch appointments)
- To achieve targeted monthly order and billing quotas
- To ensure that client engagements are performed within the standards laid down by management
- To ensure that all product knowledge is kept up to date and applied to customer requirements with a view to securing orders and revenue
