The position is available at the Postmasburg site in the Northern Cape.


Purpose of the job
Provide the customer with day-to-day on-site support services ensuring that the network availability meets the agreed SLA targets. Perform routine maintenance services to reduce equipment failure and poor equipment performance. Health and Safety standards and legislation must always be adhered to. It is a critical requirement that a high standard for quality of work performed is achieved. The Team Leader will be responsible for the efficient performance and management of the onsite team. The Team Leader will also be required to identify improvement opportunities that will drive service delivery.

Supervise team member's day-to-day activities and ensure that services are delivered within set SLA's.

Track workload progress and ensure appropriate distribution of work.

Achieve team productivity goals and address key issues within area to ensure operational effectiveness.

Monitor and control expenses within allocated budgets.

Ensure consistent productivity and quality of service levels of the team.

Implement strategies designed to increase productivity and reach business and team objectives and customer satisfaction.

Resolves difficult customer queries.

Attending customer meetings.

Tracks, develops, reports, and makes recommendations regarding the operation.

Builds and maintains team rapport.

Ensuring that all work is captured on the call management system and updated.

Report on team members performance and recommendations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and verbal.

Excellent management skills.

Excellent time management.

The ability to deal with customers on all levels in an efficient and courteous manner.

Basic understanding of incident/problem and change management techniques.


Required Qualifications and Competencies
Matric (Grade 12) Certification.

IT related degree or Diploma from a recognized institution (Computer Science, NetworkAdministration, Systems Engineering, or a related field of study)

Basic IT Skills

Microsoft and Networking certifications, such as CompTIA's Network+, Cisco's CCNA, and Microsoft's MCSE, Server 2008

SQL Server Maintenance

Industry Specific Field Experience, minimum 3-5 years

Knowledge of wireless installation and configuration.

Valid code 10 driver's license.
