My client in Oil and gas seeks the expertise of a Project Manager to execute projects through the entire project life cycle to be based in Johannesburg.


Requirements:


  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light current) or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years Project Management Experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE
  • Travelling and working after hours or on weekends may be required occasionally.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Knowledge of the petrochemical field and international regulations
  • Leadership and people skills
  • Team player and good management skills
  • Effective Communication (Read, Write & Speak
  • English),
  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Platform, MS Office, MS Project, Microsoft explorer, etc )
  • A good understanding of PMBOK concepts.
  • Understanding of IT networking and basic instrumentation concepts.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Management of the project through the entire project life cycle
  • Project progress and budget control
  • Effective communication to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Measure and report on project performance metrics
  • Identify, document and manage project risks.
  • Project scheduling of resources on concurrent projects
  • Maintain project documentation during the entire project life cycle.
  • Analyse customer requirements
  • Quality control and management during the project
  • Technical and commercial support to sales engineers and technicians
  • Occasional working overtime
