Job purpose


In addition to managing the internal team, the Creative Operations Manager is responsible for initiating, coordinating, and managing digital creative projects including design, production, copywriting, and development.

This includes working closely with account managers to ensure successful project delivery by balancing workloads according to skills, time and budgets and furthermore define processes and documentation, resource management, schedule development, trafficking, and effective communication across internal and external groups (i.e. client, account team, development, etc.).


Responsibilities:


  • Highlevel resource planning and making strategic resource management decisions
  • Reviewing, implementing, and developing operational procedures
  • Working closely with account managers in overseeing budgets, utilization, profitability and other agency KPIs
  • Reporting to senior management
  • Making sure that all employees are tracking time
  • Assisting the human resources team with recruitment and promoting culture that encourages top performance
  • Understanding the creative process in the organisation and how it can be streamlined
  • Recognise gaps in technology that are holding back workers and locating tools and solutions that will help address them
  • Optimising the people processes and technology involved in the creative work with the intention of ensuring the final product is always the highest possible quality
  • Selecting the right metrics and KPI's to judge success of projects and campaigns
  • Identify tools and metrics that can better measure the measure the creative process, creative operations to better understand and improve the creative process in the organisation

Qualification & Experience

  • BA in Advertising, Communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of traffic or project management experience in/ with a digital creative department or agency
  • Have extensive knowledge managing projects using Chase
  • Leadership experience managing and directing a growing team
  • Ability to build relationships and extend network across the digital, design, production, and HR teams
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, and be resourceful in a fastpaced environment
  • Applies innovative ideas and critical thinking to improve current and/or introduce new processes and workflows (internal and external), driving creative and development efficiencies/automation
  • Experience with workflow/project management tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Adobe Creative Cloud a plus;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
  • Ability to see other people's point of view and receive criticism
  • Proven ability to create clarity in ambiguous circumstances, including in direct client conversations at the onset of a new project, gathering requirements or managing through revisions
