    Compensation:

    The basic salary for this role is R120-150 per hour, depending on experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work in the Electrical Department, wiring electrical chassis and control systems according to wire diagrams and samples on all bakery equipment.
    • Monitor consumable usage to improve cost savings.
    • Assist in updating electrical diagrams and drawings, reporting any problems.
    • Help update the electrical Bill of Materials (BOM) for equipment, reporting any issues.
    • Design new electrical circuits and electronic equipment, improving existing products when necessary.
    • Program, calibrate, and test Touch Screen controlled equipment to ensure it meets specifications.
    • Perform plant electrical maintenance, checking and repairing electrical hand tools, machinery, welding machines, extension leads, and DB boards.
    • Ensure compliance with departmental and plant safety rules and regulations.
    • Check stocks of electrical consumables according to the BOM and report shortages.
    • Write reports on production output.
    • Bakery and catering equipment experience is advantageous.
    • This role involves working with 3-phase control circuits, SSRs, contactors, overloads, electrical motors, temperature controllers, timers, Switch Gear with Touch Screen Control/PC control board systems.

    Working Conditions:

    • 40 hours per week
    • Shift work

    Requirements:

    • 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • N6 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent electrical engineering qualifications.
    • Qualified Electrician - Red Seal Artisan.
    • Wireman's License.
    • PLC installation and programming is an advantage.
    • Self-motivated, disciplined, and quick learner with excellent communication skills and a strong focus on productivity and consistency.
    • Ability to work in a team.
    • Own transport is required.

    The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately R2,508,000.00.
