    ESSENTIAL
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Buyers, also known as purchasing agents, are analyzers, negotiators and dealmakers. They research, evaluate and buy
    products for companies to either resell to customers or use in their everyday operations.

    Placement of orders (Material Supply)

    • Pricing Control & Improvements
    • Supplier Ratings: Ensuring the system is updated with the latest pricing at all times
    • Obtaining justifications from suppliers for any pricing amendments received
    • Obtaining the best possible prices from suppliers
    • Supplier Certification: Daily liaison with planning coordinator, suppliers, stores and receiving personnel with regard
      to supply
    • Supplier Quality Claims: Support Plant in resolving any claims against suppliers.
    • Comply with audit requirements
    • Ensuring monthly supplier ratings are updated; Ensuring quarterly supplier performance report is updated
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify potential areas of improvement.
    • Project support
    • Sourcing of Raw Materials during project phase.

      JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Matric/NQF4, Supply chain management, purchasing or engineering diploma will be advantageous
    • Initiative, self--starter with a high level of energy and curiosity starter with a high level of energy and curiosity
    • Excellent administrative skills
    • Experience with sheet metal, stamping parts and metal components desired
    • Experience in the automotive industry (OEM, tier 1, tier2) desired
    • Advanced computer skills ––MS Excel, MS Outlook, ERP skills (MS Excel, MS Outlook, ERP skills (InforLNInforLN, Oracle), Oracle)
    • Ability to handle pressure
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Good analytical ability
    • Quick learner and passionate
    • Strong organization skills
    • Good attention to detail
