Senior Manager - Regulatory Compliance (Insurance / Credit)

Location: La Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal

A reputable financial services group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager - Regulatory Compliance.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will provide advice, guidance, recommendations on the adherence of regulatorycompliance practices in client facing divisions (1st line)ensuring compliance regulatory risks are identified , assessed, and reported on for the Group.

One will be a trusted advisor to 1st line but maintain independence of mind as part of 2nd line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and manage all Regulatory requirements of the Group.
• Manage the completion of all commentary and/or impact assessments request from various RegulatoryBodies .
• Provide expert guidance and recommendation and ensure adherence to multiple laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate in depth understanding of key legislations such as the NCA, FAIS Act, POPIA, FIC and other applicable laws.
• Conduct compliance regulatory training.
• Execute on all Regulatory Compliance projects (end-end) within set timelines.
• Assist in filing regulatory reports to the respective regulators, keeping the Group in good standing with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A completed Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree.
• Admission as an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Member of the Compliance Institute of SA.
• RE5 Accreditation.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in a Regulatory Compliance position, 3 years of which must have been in a Managerial role, in Financial Services.
• In-depth knowledge and experience, with Financial Products: Credit and Insurance.
