Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Credit Controller will need to ensure that monies owing to the company are paid within the specified timescales and to ensure ledgers are accurately maintained within the financials.


Key Responsibility Areas:
-


  • Managing full set of debtor accounts.
  • Preparing and completing reconciliations of customer accounts.
  • Verifying and following up on invoices, statements, and payments, and ensuring the timeous collection of outstanding or arrear accounts in accordance with collection procedures.
  • Ensuring that all payments are received, allocated, and processed.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Reviewing pending orders daily.
  • Reporting on bad debt and the recovery there of an escalating when required.
  • Resolving and assisting with customer queries and claims.
  • Achieving monthly collection targets.
  • Preparing of credit notes and journals.
  • Sending out monthly statements.
  • Filing of all correspondence and general administration.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in Credit Control.
  • Experience and knowledge of retails accounts will be advantageous.
  • Critical and analytical mind.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for figures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office proficient advanced MS Excel experience is a must.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good telephonic and written skills.
  • Be hardworking, focused, and organised.
  • Be flexible to work overtime, when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Matric Certificate or equivalent
  • Credit Management Certificate will be advantageous.
