Signal Hill Products is looking for an Inventory Supervisor

Overall Responsibility:


Develops the inventory management strategy of the company with the goal to control costs within budget, generate savings, rationalize inventory, and minimize losses.

Maintains and manages inventory of materials and stocked products.

Creates and maintains accurate written procedures for the primary inventory control functions and processes, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the stock management system implemented.


Focus Area 1

Stock Controller

  • Management, housekeeping, and maintenance of warehouse.
  • Managing, receipt and checking of all stock transferred and returned and pallet requirements.
  • Managing correct receiving of goods, issuing of stock.
  • Management of packing, pulling, storage and rotation of stock.
  • Ensure that all stock movements are captured daily & reconciled timeously.
  • Maintaining a steady and accurate flow of stock to and from the warehouse.
  • Managing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual stock counts.
  • Daily drive of all stock variances to identify root cause and to focus on the loop closure.
  • Overall stock control including finished goods, dry goods, Returnable, Consumables and raw materials for production.
  • Reporting on variances throughout the stock control process.
  • Managing and ordering warehouse consumables.
  • Ensure compliance to all SOP's.
  • Continues review and develop of SOP's (work instructions) to support inventory processes. Liaise with planning and flag possible risk of running out of dry goods, raw materials, or consumables for a production run.

Focus Area 2

Food and Health Safety

  • Comply with and HACCP / IS022000 and OHSAct requirements.
  • Perform Food Safety and Quality related activities as part of the FSMS and QC functions.

Requirements of the Role

  • BCom Logistics, Business Administration Degree.
  • Proficiency in Inventory Management Software.
  • Indepth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices

Preferred Skills/Competencies

  • Great analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skill
