    Description

    We are seeking a dedicated travel agency consultant to oversee travel requirements for individuals and businesses on holiday. The ideal candidate will work with tourism-related package tours and services on behalf of suppliers, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.

    Duties:

    1. Collect payments, book transportation, and make hotel reservations.
    2. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, providing expert advice on destinations, traveling dates, costs, accommodations, and modes of transportation.
    3. Offer relevant details, publications, and brochures to support informed decision-making.
    4. Sell and plan accommodations, insurance, transportation, and other related travel services.
    5. Maintain accurate client files and enter data into software systems.
    6. Address and resolve any travel-related issues, complaints, or refunds efficiently.
    7. Prioritize ongoing education by attending travel seminars to stay updated on the latest tourism trends.
    8. Nurture relationships with tour operators to secure exclusive deals and opportunities.
    9. Monitor and maintain comprehensive financial and statistical records.
    10. Develop engaging promotional materials to effectively sell itinerary tour packages using persuasive techniques.
    11. Meet established sales and profit targets.

    Requirements:

    1. Proven experience as a travel consultant; candidates without experience will be mentored and trained by our exceptional team.
    2. Strong commercial awareness and sales skills to drive business growth.
    3. Proficiency in GDS systems, e-traveling, and computer reservations systems to streamline operations.
    4. Fluency in English; proficiency in multiple languages is an added asset.
    5. Excellent communication, interaction, and negotiation skills to build strong client relationships.
    6. A minimum Grade 12 diploma, degree in travel, hospitality, business, or a relevant field.
