    Human Resources Administrator

    A leading security firm seeks a skilled and experienced Human Resources Administrator to manage HR-related tasks, ensuring labor law compliance, employee relations, and supporting recruitment and training activities in Gauteng.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • HR Administration:
      • Daily employee roll call, time, and attendance tracking;
      • Tracking and managing employee time and attendance by notifying absence and requesting managers' feedback on employees absent;
      • Monitoring employee attendance against overtime schedules;
      • Following up on leave schedules and planning;
      • Drafting, controlling, and issuing employment contracts for fixed-term and permanent employees;
      • Administering payroll input functions;
      • Maintaining accurate employee files and leave records;
      • Ensuring all HR administration is up to date and correct;
      • Managing the induction program and diary entries for employees in probation and induction.
    • Workman's Compensation:
      • Recording, investigating, and following through on WCA case submissions;
      • Monitoring progress and actioning returns on claims;
      • Ensuring cost control and management reporting on claims processes.
    • Performance Management & Training:
      • Coordinating training schedules and bookings for employees to ensure they attend training sessions;
      • Controlling learnership and apprenticeship schedules;
      • After performance reviews, managing employee planning for training and support/counseling follow-ups;
      • Recording reviews and scheduling future appointments for reviews;
      • Reviewing employee files from training and ensuring documentation is correct and completed correctly.
    • Payroll:
      • Responsible for monthly payroll transactions using SAGE 300;
      • Assisting with capturing employee data on SAGE 300;
      • Providing support to the HR Manager and Payroll Administrator for employee administration.
    • Recruitment:
      • Initial candidate screening for suitability and culture fit;
      • Sourcing, screening, and handling recruitment administration, including references, credit checks, and criminal checks;
      • Scheduling interviews with shortlisted candidates and Department Heads.
    • Other (Adhoc basis):
      • Managing the Health and Safety program in accordance with the OHS Act;
      • Payroll backup for relief of Payroll Administrator;
      • Medical Testing Assessment:
        • Arranging and confirming medical testing for drivers/employees;
        • Managing and confirming test results upon completion.

    Record, communicate, and file medical results accurately.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    • Grade 12 qualification;
    • Knowledge of transport and logistics industry operations and legislation requirements;
    • Working knowledge or experience in payroll, HR administration, and recruitment processes;
    • Experience in the security industry would be advantageous;
    • Effective communication skills in English and Afrikaans; [IsiXhosa and IsiZulu would be advantageous];
    • Own transportation.
