Job Description:

Ideas are the lifeblood of the agency.

As an Art Director you work with Copywriters, Designers and external partners to create simple, surprising and empathetic ideas that bring commercial success to our clients and the agency.

Key duties include:

Work in partnership with a Copywriter to create innovative, channelneutral ideas that answer the client's brief
Develop concepts to execute the ideas and present these both internally and externally until a preferred route is agreed between agency and client
Manage the preparation of design layouts for off and online content. Ensure that any corporate guidelines have been carefully considered and reflected in any recommendations.
Brief Designers and external partners to bring your ideas to life, ensuring that the work is flawlessly executed with the highest levels of craft skills, regardless of channel
Art direct the execution of the creative work, inputting into preproduction activity, attending photo and video shoots and supervising post production in order to realise your creative vision
Work with crossfunctional agency teams to ensure that work is produced on time and that all delivery deadlines are met

Qualifications:

A critical eye for layout, type and design
A good knowledge of the Design Standard software packages in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
A good understanding of design and art direction for digital media
The ability to communicate ideas at a conceptual level through clear roughs and layouts
The ability to brief and oversee production confidently to ensure the best possible delivery of the idea, working internally and with external suppliers across all media channels
An understanding of the internal workings of the agency and the processes of implementation
