The main purpose of the job is to sell merchandise against sales targets and to create sales opportunities for current and future sales purposes.

1.
To sell merchandise against sales targets

  • Planning daily sales activities before store opens
  • Doing prospecting to maximise sales opportunities
  • Assisting customers on the floor in order to sell products
  • Constantly upskilling self on products specifications and informing customers on product specification when required.
2.
To provide excellent customer service
Making post-sales courteousy calls - thanking customers for business, making sure customers are satisfied with purchases, etc.

  • Keeping customers informed of waiting period throughout sales process
  • Followingup on the delivery of purchases
3.
To ensure stock availablity in support of sales

  • Checking of UCS system and phoning around to find stock purchased/requested by customers
  • Ordering stock via stock clerk if not available
  • Ensuring deliveries at appropriate times at the warehouse via stock clerk.
  • Qualifications
Grade 1- Experience

Previous experience in similar position advantageous
