    Description

    As the Storeman, you will play a crucial role in managing the inventory and ensuring the smooth functioning of our spare parts shop.

    Reporting to the Site Manager, your key responsibilities will include:


    • Receiving incoming shipments of spare parts and verifying the accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders.
    • Checking and inspecting incoming stock for damage or discrepancies and reporting any issues to the Site Manager.
    • Recording and updating inventory levels in the system, including stock movements, adjustments, and transfers.
    • Organizing and maintaining the storage area, ensuring that spare parts are stored safely and efficiently for easy retrieval.
    • Picking and packing spare parts for customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliveries.
    • Assisting with stocktaking and cycle counting activities to maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Collaborating with the sales team to fulfill customer orders and address any inventory-related queries or issues.
    • Adhering to company policies and procedures for inventory control, safety, and security.
    • Performing general housekeeping duties to keep the storage area clean and organized at all times

    Experience and Skills:

    • Previous experience as a storeman, warehouse assistant, or similar role, preferably in a retail or automotive environment.
    • Knowledge of inventory management principles and procedures, including receiving, storing, and issuing stock.
    • Ability to operate basic computer systems and inventory management software for data entry and record-keeping.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory transactions and documentation.
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
    • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
