    Location: Our client has offices across South Africa. The successful candidate will work from one of these offices.

    This is an in-office position.

    Our client is recruiting for an experienced Industrial Relations Officer to join their Human Resources team. To provide a dedicated Industrial Relations advisory service to management, supervisors, and employees.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Ensure that all policies, procedures, and employment legislation are adhered to.
    • Advise on, facilitate, execute, and implement applicable Human Resources/Industrial Relations practices, by identifying risks and helping with preventative measures.
    • Management of relationships with union & ensuring that the Company's treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.
    • Responsible for managing and maintaining positive employee relations within the company.
    • Management of all complaints, grievance procedures, and facilitation of counselling sessions in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
    • Promote a harmonious work environment by addressing employee concerns, and handling labour disputes.
    • Responsible for mediation
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.
    • Investigating and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Ability to work closely with HR teams and senior management on industrial relations
    • Internal processes - chairing disciplinary, incapacity hearings, handling grievances and assisting with operational requirement termination processes.
    • External dispute resolution - representing the company at CCMA.
    • Ability to train Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders on managing poor performance and initiating disciplinary processes in the workplace.
    • Management of all administration for industrial relations.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    • Qualification in HR / Labour Relations
    • 3 – 5 years working experience in Labour Relations
    • Proven experience in working with unions and shop stewards.
    • CCMA experience e
    • Knowledge and understanding of HR policies & procedures.
    • Experience, Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation.
    • Ability in problem-solving, negotiation & influencing skills.
