Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to design and develop internal planning functions, including conveyance design, trolley/packaging design, rack design and configuration, master data maintenance, layouts, transport planning & cost management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and implement logistics and facility processes, conducting efficient process designs.
Design and maintain warehouse layouts for logistics areas.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to company standards.
Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, and proactively identify and resolve any issues or obstacles.
Conduct engineering analysis, feasibility studies, and calculations to support warehouse design decisions.
Identify opportunities to optimize warehouse operations, streamline processes, and enhance productivity.
Manage resources, including personnel.
Implement improvements through Kaizen methodology.
Maintain 4S and Health and Safety standards for logistics operations in the warehouse.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

NQF 6 (360 credits) in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years' experience in project management and engineering within an automotive/logistics environment.
At least 2 years postgraduate experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Project management experience.
Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
Familiarity with TMC Global system (GTOPAS).

Package and Remuneration:

R 480000 - R 500000 per annum.
