- Assist in the preparation of blast plans and designs
- Handle explosives and blasting agents in compliance with safety regulations
- Load and connect explosive charges in accordance with blasting procedures
- Monitor weather conditions and ensure safe blasting operations
- Conduct pre-blast inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Implement and follow safe work practices during blasting activities
- Assist in the investigation of blasting incidents and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of blasting activities and materials used
- Collaborate with the mining team to ensure efficient and safe mining operations
- Grade 12
- Valid Blasting Certificate
- Code 10 Driver's License
- Opencast mining knowledge
- Computer Literate
- Salary: R200K/yr - R400K/yr
