SPECIFICATION

A global non-profit bridging the gap in access to essential surgeries and healthcare, starting with cleft surgery and comprehensive care.

We provide
medical expertise, training, research and care through our dedicated staff and medical student volunteers around the world, working alongside local governments, non-profits, and health systems, and supported by our generous donors and corporate partners.

We deliver medical care for patients and educational programs for health workers in 36 program countries of which 9 are in sub-Saharan Africa.

In South Africa we have been a driving force in the delivery of safe cleft surgery and comprehensive care since 2006.

We work in under-served and resource-strained provinces, where access to safe cleft surgery and comprehensive care is limited.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:

Ready to get stuck in and work in an often pressurised environment

REQUIREMENTS

Recently graduated (degree or national diploma 3years)
Studied Marketing, Logistics, Events, Communications, PR or similar
Proven experience in these areas odd jobs/parttime work
Outgoing and personable
English speaking
Additional vernacular languages a plus
May have to travel to one or two surgical programmes
Work from office in Mowbray
Hands on approach

In addition to the description above, please can we also add that some after-hours event work will be required from time-to-time (i.e we are a beneficiary for the upcoming Spar Ladies Walk on 24 March and would need the person to be involved in this. Time off in lieu of weekend work will be given.)

Also the person will be entitled to 1.5 days leave per month.

Salary:
R11 000,00 - R13 000,00 per month
