Requirements:


  • A Bachelor's degree, B Tech/Advanced Diploma in Science, Civil
Engineering or Information Technology.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in multimodal transport
planning.

  • High level of technical proficiency in data management, synthesis,
analysis and Interpretation.

  • Demonstrable experience in public transport survey design,
planning and supervision.

  • Demonstrable experience the use of computer programming tools
for data analysis and communication.

  • Knowledge of relevant transport legislation and relevant local
government legislation and policies.

  • Working knowledge of transport modelling principles, data
requirements and modelling software packages would be

advantageous.

  • A valid driver's license.
Key Performance Areas

  • Facilitate, upgrade and maintain the City of Cape Town's transport
reporting and analysis system.

  • Improvement of the data management, administration and analysis
processes including collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting.

  • Facilitate and coordinate communication and information flow
within the branch.

  • Draw up reports, presentations and correspondence containing
complex information.

  • Management of staff within the Transport Systems Analysis section.
  • Management of projects/contracts in accordance with the
Contract Management Framework (CMF) of the City.

  • General administration including responding to enquiries and
requests for services from clients, and safe keeping of

documentation.
