The AACL is one of the largest animal welfare organisations in South Africa, and we work tirelessly to ensure that all the stray, surrendered and unwanted animals in our care receive the best possible treatment; and that as many animals as possible are adopted out to suitable families.

The AACL Cape Town is seeking a passionate and dedicated person to join our Adoptions team in Epping.


Key performance areas:


  • Animal care ensure the health and wellbeing of all animals in our care, including assessment, enrichment, grooming, training.
Adoptions - ensure maximum adoption rate, match animals with suitable families.

  • Stray animals ensure health, care, advertising, networking, education, reuniting of stray animals.
  • Record keeping maintain records of all animals, health care, staff, adoptions.
  • Maintaining premises and kennels.
  • Supervising a team of kennel staff and volunteers.
  • Marketing initiate and attend marketing or adoption days.

Requirements:


  • Senior certificate
  • A qualification in an animal care related field would be advantageous
  • Experience in animal husbandry, behaviour or animal health.
  • Experience in supervising small teams would be advantageous
  • Driver's license and own transport

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cape Town,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
