PURPOSE OF THE JOB:


To be responsible in its entirety for all inbound warehousing, logístical and related operational functions in the Nelspruit branch, including but not limited to the managing & optimization of the warehousing function, sourcing, buying, shipping, receiving, stock control, stock levels, systems, housekeeping, reporting, cash and carry, client liaison, internal sales and staff management to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction at all times.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage daily receiving, planning, coordination, recording, systems, offloading and related container, yard and warehouse activities.
  • Ensure all stock is packed away within 48 hours of arrival
  • Ensure local purchasing is properly planned and executed to maintain optimum stock levels at all times. Assist at all time as needed with international import planning and execution.
  • Ensure the required productivity, housekeeping and order levels are maintained daily
  • All aspect of stockholding, accuracy, security, storage conditions, levels, systems, etc. to be properly managed, with a strict adherence to FIFO
  • Resolve, report and record any offloading, system, staff, rejects etc. errors and problems immediately
  • Ensure full compliance at all times with all Food Safety systems, Occupational health and safety regulations, ETQM and company policies.
  • Monitoring of stock and ordering from factory when necessary
  • Execute all internal stock transfers
  • Arranging transport for anything sent from Johannesburg (negotiating best price)
  • Monitoring of dead and slow moving stock and FIFO
  • Running and capturing of stocktakes
  • Processing of credit notes
  • Stationery control
  • To ensure customer satisfaction with Exim's products and service experienced by all walk in customers by achieving maximum sales profitability and growth within the Cash & Carry
  • Knowledge of all products available for sale
  • Basic knowledge of the functions of all machines available for sale on the shop floor
  • Accurate and strict stock control
  • Ensuring shelves are stocked and products are in good condition
  • Balancing cash register and receipts
  • Following proper procedure when stock movement has to take place to and from the warehouse
  • Handling customer complaints where necessary
  • Take initiative with promotions and sales techniques to boost sales
  • Meet monthly sales target set by Sales Manager
  • Perform such other tasks necessary for the conduct of the business, as operationally required
  • Ensure the store is neat and clean at all times
  • Direct incoming calls and visitors by maintaining employee and department directories
  • Ensure professional and friendly telephone etiquette at all times
  • Perform a variety of routine clerical and office support functions, including filing of documentation
  • Maintain professional relationship with suppliers, customers and colleagues
  • Coordinating of all incoming and outgoing courier
  • Assist with other administrative duties such as label printing as required
  • General admin duties as per branch request to do so from time to time
  • Perform such other tasks necessary for the conduct of the business, as operationally required
  • Ensure the store is neat and clean at all times

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Experience within the same role & warehousing environment will be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification would be advantageous

Salary:
R10, R14,000.00 per month
