    Description

    The Production Planner will be required to track production progress and hours to generate weekly factory report. Monitor and track any part shortages. Generate purchase orders for any stock shortages using SAP. Ensure Administrative duties are completed and assist with continuous improvement projects.

    Reporting to the Production Manager

    Paterson Grade: C1

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Track production progress activities for all works orders and update schedules.
    • Plan, schedule, direct and execute production activities.
    • Evaluating purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
    • Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
    • Opening and Closing jobs
    • Loading BOM Kits on SAP
    • Following up on purchase order receipts in respect of outstanding order
    • Following up with suppliers
    • Updating production schedules for procurement based on ordered and received items.
    • Attending all administrative related functions
    • Developing and maintaining filing systems - both hard and electronic copies
    • Print Daily reports and give to supervisors.
    • Compile weekly factory reports.
    • Create and send Purchase orders for consumables and maintenance items.
    • Assist Production Manager

    Essential Requirements:

    • Grade 12/Matric
    • Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.
    • Supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Similar work experience may be beneficial. People Orientated and results driven.
    • Ability to communicate and work across different cultures and social groups.
    • Basic Knowledge of Occupational Health and safety.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • People Orientated and results driven.
    • Strong knowledge of mathematics, science, and electrical systems. No criminal record.

    Beneficial Requirements:

    • N4-N6 certificate in electrical engineering. Knowledge of high volts and Energy automation solutions.
    • Ability to work well in a pressurized environment.
    • The incumbent must be able to comprehend complex situations and find solutions to problems.
    • Must be able to plan and organize to ensure timely handling of tasks.
    • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Able to operate with limited supervision.
    • Problem solving and decision-making.
    • Highly focused on business outcomes.
