Our client, based in
the Cape Wineland area, is in the
food production industry and they are looking to hire a
Food Technology and Quality Manager to
join their team as soon as possible.


Overall job description

Technical requirements

  • Degree and 1015 years of experience in Food Science or Food Technology with relevant retail experience.
  • Knowledge of high
- and low-risk food processing and cross-flow management.

  • Understanding of cold chain management and critical control factors.
  • Practical experience in various food preparation stages and processes.
  • Knowledge of technical processes: HACCP, GMP, root cause analysis, supply chain, raw materials, allergen, micro, and listeria management.
  • Broad industry experience across diverse food products.
  • Technical product knowledge including characteristics, raw materials, manufacturing processes, quality, and safety parameters.
  • Understanding of environmental management and sustainability.
  • Desired competencies: project management, problemsolving, legislative knowledge, teamwork, decisionmaking, commitment to excellence, and effective communication.
This position is based
on site and is
full time, Monday-Friday.

Salary:
R60 000-R80 000 CTC per month depending on experience
