Large Mining Company in development phase is seeking to appoint an experienced Chief Safety Officer who will report directly to the General Manager and will serve as a member of the Operations & Technical Team.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Safety Management (or equivalent qualification).
Master's Degree in Safety Management will be advantageous.
Driver's license (Code B).
SAMTRAC/COMSOC 3/NEBOSH advantageous.

Experience:

A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Chief Safety Officer in a mining environment (Open Cast or Under Ground Mines).
Shaft Sinking experience will be advantageous.

Knowledge & Skills:

English: Fully Proficient.
Second Language advantageous.
Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point).
ISO systems implementation.
Safety Management Systems development based on NOSA Management by Objectives (MBO Elements).
Emergency preparedness.
Security Management.
Fire Management.
Budget Management.
