Description
A client in Cape Town is seeking a manager for their Data Management team as follows

  • To manage a team of Data Managers that will implement a DM framework across the org.
  • Recruit, mentor, coach and guide your DM team, as an SME in the DM field
  • Set Data Governance standards across the org, incl. Data Protection, Security and QA protocols
  • Plan Agile projects to support businesss Data goals with related processes, policies and practices
  • Engage with Data Product Owners and Service Owners across the organization to accomplish it
  • Ensure the AWS migration team's Data requirements for cloud migration are met_(Azure exp. will count)_
  • Engage with Vendors to support your initiatives with DM tools (currently using Collibra/ MANTA)
  • Ideally you will have Collibra (a metadata catalog) and MANTA exp. (for data lineage / traceability)
  • Understand the impact of Regulatory Compliance on Data _(like POPI, RDARR, GDPR, PCI DSS, etc.)_
  • Must have 5 to 7+ yrs exp. in implementing DM frameworks / tools and ideally 3+ yrs as a Manager
  • TOGAF, DM BOK and Agile / SCRUM or similar certification will be preferable (_not required)_
  • Banking or Financial Services industry background is ideal _(not required)_
This is a permanent role at Manager / Lead, at their Cape Town or Gauteng offices

Salary:
R800, R1,200,000.00 per year


Experience:

- managing Data Governance and/ or
Data Management Portfolios: 3 years (preferred)
