Senior Lecturer

Minimum Requirements

A PhD / Doctorate qualification in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
A Degree in Chemical Engineering (e.g. BTech, BEng, BSc Eng, Advanced Diploma).
At least 5 years teaching experience / professional.
Evidence of publication track record in peer reviewed.
Evidence of at least one completed postgraduate supervision.
Good communication and lecturing
A strong passion for teaching and
Registrable as a professional engineer or engineering technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

Summary of duties

Supervision of postgraduate projects and postgraduate
Development of learning material for different
Actively involved in research and research
Active participation in industrial
Knowledge of online learning software, g. Moodle, Ms Teams.
Participation in community engagement
Assist with administrative duties as
Any other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department.

Associate Professor

A minimum of seven DHET accredited publication/creative outputs over the preceding three

The standard achieved in each of the abovementioned must be of a high
Recipient of grant
Bibliometric to evaluate the quality of research
Registrable as a professional engineer or engineering technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
