- Overseeing production activities for all three shifts
- Ensuring finished products are manufactured on time, in the right quantity, and of good quality
- Liaising with internal departments to resolve production issues
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines
- Supervising, motivating, and managing a team of shift supervisors
- Coordinating production process with shift supervisors, press leaders, slitter leaders, ink department, technical group, human resources, and manufacturing services
- Reviewing performance of shift supervisors and instigating disciplinary processes when necessary
- Identifying training needs and recommending corrective action for shift managers
- Assisting in the facilitation of daily production meetings, weekly shift meetings, and monthly safety meetings
- Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering or qualified trade tested electrical/mechanical artisan or millwright
- Undergraduate qualification in operations or production management skills
- Trade tested and qualified flexo/gravure/lithographic printer
- Formal leadership training
- 5-10 years supervisory role in manufacturing and/or FMCG industry within operations
- Knowledge and understanding of South African labour laws and application of COGP
- Lean or six sigma or operational excellence or project management formal training
- Work in modern manufacturing facilities at the cutting-edge of production-environment innovation
