- Process daily payments and receipts accurately.
- Dispatch customer invoices and statements in a timely manner.
- Obtain necessary approvals and upload invoices for processing.
- Ensure purchase orders are up to date by obtaining and updating necessary quotes.
- Address customer queries regarding billing, payments, and account balances promptly.
- Assist in preparing pro-forma invoices for sales orders to facilitate deposit payments.
- Regularly review aging reports to identify overdue accounts and take action to collect outstanding balances.
- Proactively contact customers with overdue balances to request payments and negotiate terms where needed.
- Update customer records, including contact details, credit limits, and payment terms.
- Provide management with regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collection efforts, and financial metrics.
- Maintain organized records of all receivable transactions, correspondence, and payment history.
- Ensure all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, to resolve payment or billing issues and enhance customer service.
- Assist in processing credit applications via the BCB portal.
- Lodge overdue accounts with BCM for collection when necessary.
- Completed Matric
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance related
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller, preferably in a senior role.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable and billing processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
