Roles and Responsibilities:_


Briefing and Planning:

Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Assist in developing project briefs, including timelines, budgets, and resources. Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to decision-making processes. Communicate project specifications and requirements to the production team.


Tech Drawings and Production:

Manage and work with technical drawings required for the production process.
Coordinate with designers and engineers to ensure accurate interpretation of design plans. Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely completion of fabrication tasks. Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.


Daily Scheduling and Production Management:

Create and maintain daily production schedules to meet project deadlines.
Monitor progress and address any issues or delays in the production process.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the availability of resources and materials. Implement strategies to optimise production efficiency and maximise output.


Supplier Sourcing and Cost Estimates:

Identify and source suppliers for required materials, equipment, and services. Obtain cost estimates and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement. Evaluate supplier capabilities and maintain positive relationships.
Stay updated with market trends and identify potential alternative suppliers.


Ordering and Purchasing Materials:

Prepare purchase orders based on project requirements and approved budgets. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Inspect received materials for quality and quantity compliance.
Maintain accurate records of purchased materials and associated documentation.


Supply Chain Management:

Manage the supply chain of production consumables, including inventory control. Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate transportation and delivery logistics. Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment to avoid production disruptions.


Bill of Materials:

Prepare accurate bills of materials (BOM) based on project specifications.
Ensure BOMs align with production requirements and timelines.
Collaborate with the production team to optimise material usage and minimise waste. Review and update BOMs as necessary to reflect any design or specification changes.


3rd Party Production Suppliers Management:

Identify and engage 3rd party production suppliers as required for specific projects. Coordinate with suppliers from the start to the end of the production process. Communicate project specifications, timelines, and quality requirements to suppliers.


Installations:
Oversee on-site shop fitting activities by project plans.
Coordinate technical activation installations and ensure smooth execution.
Assist in the initial roll-out of shopfitting projects, guiding the installation team. Conduct quality checks to ensure installations meet project requirements and standards.


Relevant Administration:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and certifications.
Prepare reports on project progress, production status, and any relevant issues.
Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost tracking.

Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure smooth project operations.

Qualifications and Skills:_

Proven experience as a mid-level shopfitter and fabrication assistant. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Strong project management and coordination skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

Knowledge of shopfitting materials, fabrication techniques, and installation processes. Familiarity with supply chain management principles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.


Ability to commute/relocate:

• Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
