Position:
Temp Health and Safety Officer
Location:
Rosslyn, Pretoria
Duration: 4 Month Maternity Contract
Requirements:
- Grade 1
- Tertiary qualification will be an advantage
- Minimum 3 years' automotive industry experience essential
- Computer literate
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Health and Safety of the Operators of the plant
- Arranging training of the H&S committee
- Ordering PPE when necessary and the necessary ordering of stock as per the budget
- Updating weekly and monthly reports
- Ensure completion of monthly H&S inspection report
- Drafting and updating risk assessments
- Ensure completion of H&S actions from site visits
- Conducting weekly H&S audits in plant (twice a week)
- Chair the H&S committee meetings on a monthly basis
- Distributing the H&S safety talks and ensuring the Representative complete the register
- Ordering and restocking of first aid boxes on a monthly basis
- Arranging the annual medicals examinations or when necessary for a new employee
- Manage the cleaning staff in the plant
