    Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

    Location: Nationwide (travel required)

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to employees across the country, ensuring that all IT systems and infrastructure are running smoothly.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Desktop Support: Active Directory, printer, and video conferencing equipment management
    • Hardware and Software Support: workstation setup, maintenance, and decommissioning (Linux, MacOS, Windows server environments)
    • Server Management: monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting
    • Networking: VPN setup, LANs, and VLANs configuration
    • IT Policies: enforcing security protocols, user access management, and asset register tracking
    • Firewall Management: monitoring and configuration
    • Participate in IT system improvements and projects

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of relevant IT Support/Infrastructure experience
    • Proficiency in Linux, AD, software, and hardware support
    • Knowledge of networking (VPN, LANs, VLANs), firewalls (FortiGate preference), and server management
    • Matric certification
    • A+ and N+ certifications
    • IT Diploma or equivalent advantageous
    • Certifications in Linux, MacOS, FortiGate, G Suite, Microsoft beneficial

    • Excellent trouble-shooting skills with strong attention to detail
    • Good communication and people skills
    • Passionate about technology

    Salary:

    R 250,000 - R 350,000 per annum
