    **Job Requirements:**

    • A trade-tested certified artisan (Millwright, Electrician, or Fitter & Turner) or a National Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is required.

    **Experience Needed:**

    • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance of injection moulding and extrusion machinery within an automotive or FMCG electrical manufacturing environment.

    **Key Performance Areas:

    • Planned preventative maintenance on all injection moulding, extrusion, and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime.
    • Diagnostics and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults for continuous production.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and prevent recurring faults.
    • Support the installation, commissioning, and modification of new and existing machinery to meet business needs.
    • Participation in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 6S initiatives for enhanced productivity and efficiency.

    **Core Competencies:**

    • A good understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and automation systems.
    • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints.
    • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
    • Knowledge of PLC and robotic programming concepts.

    **Job Description Summary:

    This position requires a skilled trade-tested individual with a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance and diagnostics of injection moulding and extrusion machinery, as well as knowledge of automation systems and PLC programming.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repair of faults, and implementation of corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and productivity.

    They will also support the installation and modification of new and existing machinery and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance overall efficiency.

    This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
