SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AT RHODES UNIVERSITY
Rhodes University wishes to appoint a qualified person to join the vibrant team in the Department of Environmental Science.

Requirements:

Lecturer

At least a PhD in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or equivalent cognate discipline with an ability to teach in the following disciplinary areas: social-ecological systems, natural resource/biodiversity governance and management, land issues, human well-being, values and environmental behaviour, and/or climate change governance.

Knowledge of and ability to teach social-ecological system thinking and approaches will be critical.

Senior Lecturer

At least a PhD in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies or equivalent cognate discipline with experience in teaching in the following disciplinary areas: social-ecological systems, natural resource/biodiversity governance and management, land issues, human well-being, values and environmental behaviour, and/or climate change governance.

Basic Salary (Annual): R 523,049.00

Senior

Basic Salary (Annual): R 631,639.00

Rhodes University has a vaccination mandate as part of its Conditions of Service. The implementation of the vaccine mandate has been held in abeyance from 01 January 2023.
