Description

• Grade 12 and any additional agricultural qualification will be an advantageous
• 2 4 years experience in a similar position
• Stable working history
• Valid drivers license
  Experience with:
• Regularly inspect trees for signs of disease, pests, or nutritional deficiencies
• Implement pest and disease control measures as needed
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure macadamia trees receive the appropriate amount of water
• Implement a fertilization program to maintain soil fertility and tree health
• Schedule and coordinate macadamia nut harvesting to optimize yield and quality
• Ensure that macadamia nuts meet quality standards, including size, flavour, and moisture content
• Implement sorting and grading procedures to achieve premium nut quality
• Train, and supervise farm labourers and seasonal workers
• Create work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently
• Maintain and oversee the use of farm equipment and machinery
• Ensure that farm infrastructure, such as irrigation systems and storage facilities, is well-maintained
