    Job Title

    A dynamic and ambitious individual is sought to join our Procurement Department in Johannesburg, driving growth and expansion on the African continent.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Conduct market research on new factories to add to our supplier database.
    • Analyze costing and pricing models used by producers and stay updated on commodity prices and new energy sector products.
    • Travel within Africa, China, and India for factory evaluations, assessing production capacity, technical competence, product compliance, and quality of knowledge.
    • Negotiate contracts covering price, delivery, product specification, and compliance, preparing data for tender submissions.
    • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing and/or third-party technical evaluation before contractual deliveries.
    • Liaise with factories, transporters, shipping, and clearing agents for timely and cost-effective material delivery.

    Requirements

    • The position requires living within close proximity to Fourways due to its permanent, onsite nature.
    • An Electrical Engineering qualification is essential, with a minimum National Diploma but preference given to completed Bachelor's degrees.
    • A minimum of 2 years' work experience as an Electrical Engineer is required.
    • Practical field experience on a mine or electrical plant is highly desirable.
