Introduction


Responsible for ensuring that resources, schedules and financials are planned and collated in a structured manner to deliver the required outcome across the multiple related workstreams, and varied stakeholder groups, while managing within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost.

To deliver planning and reporting, driving over-arching and consistent clarity across works streams to help achieve project milestones within budget and with credibility.


Job description

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Deliver a project charter
  • Deliver project plans per work stream, with the Team Leads, to an appropriate level of detail and develop an integrated Imbewu view
  • Manage and report on the integrated Project plan across the multiple related workstreams to ensure the overall project is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of
- stated objectives, delivering credibility for the project

  • Track, manage and report on project scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership and other stakeholders
  • Equip the team and sponsors to align on and manage scope, expectations, objectives and outcomes
  • Provide collaborative leadership to drive morale, buyin and support across stakeholders to achieve their objectives and the project goals
  • Drive all risks, issues, decisions and actions to resolution, and keep record
  • Setup manage efficient budget financial tracking
  • Manage the daytoday project activities, resources and governance; chair and minute project management meetings
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full articulation of future requirements, including a roadmap to operationalising across the 3 workstreams
- and the business case for funding, firming up FY25 and FY26 assumptions and dependencies

  • Ensure appropriate project closure and facilitate business handover; Setup tools ways of working for ongoing effective project management within the operational team

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Project delivery with project administration; documentation governance, stakeholder administration, scheduling
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problemsolving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, inspiration and excellence
  • Develop and deliver progress report and presentations to various audiences, including the project team, sponsors, leadership, community forums and other stakeholders.

Minimum requirements

  • Solid understanding of project management principles, methods and techniques with ability to bring or adopt modern tools and ways of managing projects
  • Proven success in providing on site leadership for project team and Subject Matter Expert (SME) resources by building relationships and motivating and equipping team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Ability to develop Business Cases or Feasibility studies to justify initiatives for approval by the Executive team
  • Strong facilitation, listening and communication skills at multiple stakeholder levels
  • Strong integrative ability of direct and virtual teams
  • Proactive Risk and Issue Management skills
  • Excellent multitasking ability
  • Attention to detail and working to deadlines essential

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Relevant 3 year tertiary or NQF aligned qualification
  • Project management qualification

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 3 year Project management experience with proven skillset, leadership and delivery track record across diverse work streams and stakeholder groups
  • Relevant Business Knowledge
  • Experience in retail specifically food retail would be advantageous
