The main purpose of this role is to manage the execution of medium low complexity strategic sourcing projects within the respective ISM categories and ensure timely delivery of the same as per stakeholder expectations and within required budget.

The sourcing specialist will support the maturing of the strategic sourcing approach in Massmart Indirect Spend Management (ISM) for the respective categories by assisting stakeholders to leverage buying across multiple projects and using standard templates and approaches for RFP management.


Roles

  • Lead the work and support (when required) the ISM Tower Executive or Category Manager in development of multiyear enterprise sourcing strategy and savings roadmap.
Assist in drafting, checking and management of business requirements.

  • Assist to Build a 35year view of the respective categories for Massmart group via a sourcing strategy.
  • Support the stakeholders and ISM Category managers in interacting with cross functional stakeholder groups to understand and document their business requirements.
  • Develop project plans and drives the execution of sourcing projects.
  • Provide solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing opportunities.
  • Provide standardized repotting for tendering management on a bill of materials basis and in SAP Ariba.
  • Provide commodity marketing updates, multiproject reporting & planning.

Qualification:


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Operations Management, Analytics, Information Technology, CIPS Level 4 or equivalent (NQF 7)

Advantageous:


  • CIPS Level 5+ (Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply), PMP (Project Management Professional), SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional), Business Process Management, Analytics Certification

Experience:


  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, management consulting with a demonstrated track record of results and increasing level of responsibility. Corporate Services Procurement/Sourcing experience preferred.

Ability to Relocate:
