Job Description*Testing of Soya Oil Cake and byproducts to ensure quality of products.

Requirements:

Grade 12/ NQF
Qualification in Microbiology/ Analytical Chemistry / Biotechnology (or relevant)
3 Year's laboratory experience within a similar environment (Grain Processing/ Feed Manufacturing)
Computer Literate in the MS Office Package
Proven knowledge of ISO 22000 Standards

Duties and Responsibilities*- Daily calibration of all laboratory equipment.

Daily in house wet chemical analysis on raw materials, WIP and finished products for NIR validation e

g:
Protein tests, Soxlet, Fiber and Ash, Oil Moistures and Phosphorus

Weekly Admin & Maintenance of Laboratory equipment
Monitoring and Verification of CCPs and OPRPs
Verification of traceability
Preparing and sending away of verification samples to external laboratories on a weekly basis
Documentation and Investigation of Customer complaints and Nonconformances
Chemical verification
Stock control
Inspection of bagged products and signing preloading checklists
Ensure that the Retention Sample Procedure and the Retention Sample Store is kept up to standard
Continuous internal liaison with process and production personnel to ensure effective Quality Control
Manage Change Control and ensure that changes are documented and communicated to all relevant parties
Identify gaps between current and required practices, recommend and drive improvement activities to address the gaps
Validation of Specification Management
