    Description

    Job Description:


    • Eliminate Waste: Support and implement ME plans on production lines, reducing losses and improving efficiency.
    • Reduce Cost of Poor Quality: Monitor and minimize waste through TQM processes and initiatives.
    • Implement agreed-upon ME facilities and methods improvements to enhance productivity.

    Continuous Improvement:


    • Closure of Engineering Problem-Solving Activities: Ensure implementation of Corrective Actions and Preventative Actions.
    • Achieve Improvement Targets: Budgeted improvements in Materials and OT costs are planned, measured, and met.
    • Kaizen Initiatives: Participate in A3 problem-solving activities to eliminate waste and improve production.

    5S:


    • Ensure 5S Direction: Implement 5S standards and sustain a clean work environment.
    • 5S Condition Sustenance: Plan and track 5S improvement activities for new production facilities.

    Health and Safety:


    • Comply with Company Obligations: Adhere to all applicable regulations and policies.
    • Workplace Safety: Provide a safe working environment without risk of injury or ill-health.
    • Environmental Protection: Protect the environment and prevent pollution.
    • PPE Usage: Advise on correct PPE usage for facility requirements.

    Quality Company Engineering: Process Engineer:


    • Meet Customer Quality Requirements: Ensure products meet customer specifications, standards, and requirements.
    • Risk Based Thinking: Identify risks affecting quality and implement actions to alleviate them.
    • Part Data Analysis: Analyze data from design through to production to ensure targets are being met.
    • Manufacturing Approval: Approve manufacturing processes for production in the organization.
    • Assist in Trial Activities: Assist in trial activities to ensure manufacturing processes adhere to quality requirements.

    Delivery:


    • Manage Scrap: Introduce initiatives to eliminate or reduce scrap to improve process efficiency.
    • Line Optimization: Improve production lines to meet customer demand and quoted verses actual.
    • Risk Based Thinking: Evaluate and mitigate risks.
    • APQP: Support cross-functional project teams to ensure customer requirements are met and APQP is implemented.
    • Escalation of Process Concerns: Address process-related concerns raised by the correct team immediately.
    • Deliver Manufacturing Processes: Deliver manufacturing processes on time to Production.
    • Support MPT Process: Provide technical assistance during the MPT process and ensure relevant information is provided for handover.
    • Process Controls: Involved in new and current projects to ensure process implementation complies with timing and cost parameters.

    Attendance:


    • Personal Attendance: Maintain 98% personal attendance on an ongoing basis to support production.

    People Development:


    • Personal Development: Responsible for own personal development in line with company strategy.
    • HR Policies and Procedures: Adhere to HR policies and procedures.
    • OJT Training: Conduct and evaluate OJT training to ensure team members are adequately trained.
    • Mentoring and Developing Junior Engineers: Responsible for mentoring, managing, and developing junior engineers.

    Job Requirements:


    • Grade 12
    • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
    • 5 years Experience in Production Engineering Environment
    • Experience in Manufacturing/Fabrication Environment

    • Project Management Experience
    • Process Engineering Experience
    • Press Tooling, Injection Moulding, Robotic Welding, Resistance Welding, Coatings, Orbital Riveting, Assembly Processes
    • Managing, Mentoring, and Developing Junior Engineers

    Salary:

    $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
