    Job Title: Structural Engineer

    We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our client's team in Cape Town, South Africa.

    This role will report to the Engineering Manager and involve designing and engineering polyethylene greenhouses, performing structural steel designs, and ensuring compliance with relevant building codes.

    • Design and engineering of polyethylene greenhouses.
    • Perform structural steel designs, including building and foundation elements.
    • Ensure compliance with all of the relevant building codes.

    The successful candidate will have a BSc Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, 3 years of experience in a similar role, and proficiency in RISA-3D or similar structural engineering software. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills are also essential.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Manage the development of assemblies and components in SolidWorks.
    2. Facilitate seamless integration between greenhouse structure and other systems (Heating, Ventilation, Electrical, Water).
    3. Provide technical input when required to support the execution process (procurement, manufacturing, QA, and installation).

    Requirements:

    • BSc Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
    • Matric certificate.
    • 3 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Experience with RISA-3D, RAM Elements, CASTA or similar structural engineering software.
    • Strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
    • Experience with greenhouse structural design.
