    As a Commercial Operations Specialist, you will provide expert support to facilitate the realization of strategic plans and roadmaps aimed at achieving excellence in Commercial and Purchasing operations, ultimately fostering world-class capabilities and performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify opportunities to enhance safety, health, and sustainability initiatives while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
    • Implement measures to meet safety expectations and minimize incidents.
    • Spot value creation opportunities that align with De Beers Group's safety and social performance objectives.

    Delivery & Performance

    General

    • Contribute to the formulation of the Commercial and Purchasing strategy, including critical tasks and performance benchmarks for the Supply Chain and broader organization, while assisting in implementation as necessary.
    • Support the achievement of commercial and purchasing objectives and priorities.
    • Engage actively in the development of a Commercial & Purchasing Community of Practice through stakeholder collaboration, networking, and continuous improvement efforts.

    • Ensure that Commercial and Purchasing strategies are accurately captured and integrated into relevant processes.

    • Support the compilation of best practice definitions through thorough research and data analysis.
    • Collaborate closely with global and regional teams to identify and resolve issues, gather insights from users, and maintain a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Prepare reports and dashboards to ensure the successful delivery of digital and analytical solutions.

    • Promote a strategic approach across all commercial activities, placing communities at the heart of strategies, methodologies, digital enablement, and related initiatives.

    • Adhere to applicable legislative requirements related to relevant activities.
    • Provide regular, timely, and accurate reporting on all relevant activities.

    Qualifications:

    • An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification, or a relevant tertiary qualification with a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a similar role.
    • Desirable: A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field or substantial practical experience in a similar context.

    Experience:

    • Strong technical knowledge across the Supply Chain value chain, with the ability to integrate and understand the drivers of excellence.
    • Solid understanding of commercial principles.
    • Experience in purchasing.
    • Project management expertise.
