Requirements:

  • Relevant B degree in Commerce/Economics/Finance/Marketing and Sales


  • Five to eight years of experience
  • Experience in developing and implementing commercial strategy within a stadium/arena/convention centre or similar business


  • At least four years of experience in presenting business cases to a Board and leadership team


  • Experience within business development of an organisation and utilisation of commercial space


  • Experience in functioning at a global level/proven global networking experience and project management


  • Experience in revenue growth strategy implementation, portfolio management client relationship management and project management


  • Experience in Commerce/Economics/Finance/Sales would be an advantage


  • Professional Drivers Permit (D): Code B.

Key Performance Areas

  • Create, plan, and implement the commercial strategy and project activities

  • Manage and monitor Suppliers and Tenants, Tenders, BIDS, Commercial Relationship, and Team (staff)

  • Manage the Stadium budget according to the applicable policies and procedures

  • Ensure administrative processes adhere to in order to maintain the integrity of information, records, and administrative processes

  • Build relationships with clients and pursue potential clients as guided by the commercialization strategy, locally and internationally

  • Responsible to appoint and manage commercialization agency and suppliers

  • Identify and define the immediate, short- and long-term objectives/plans associated with the alignment of people and business strategies providing input to the strategic framework within which the department functions
